We use robotic sensors to accurately capture and model physical environments in the form of a point cloud. A point cloud is a pixelated but realistic representation of a physical structure or land defined by a coordinate system. Each point represents a colorized position in space that has been timed by a laser and measured. Our robotic stations project anywhere from 40,000 and 1.5 million lasers per second depending on the project. We use this data to most accurately depict existing conditions and to construct 2D drawings and 3D-6D models. Laser scanning and VR technology empowers AEC teams to spend more time designing and less time capturing existing conditions. Laser scan data is most commonly used as a background/reference file attached to your current project.
